Matron of Honor: Christine San Luis | Cousin of the Bride - Cerritos, Calif.
Christine is April’s younger cousin. Less than two years apart in age, the two have been practically inseparable since growing up as childhood playmates. As the older one, April often bossed Christine around which was usually the cause of most of their short-lived quarrels. Being kids together wasn’t enough; April and Christine reunited in high school when Christine moved into the Lacaba house. The duo did everything together from band to tennis to leadership. Christine has always been there for April as a confidant, best friend and voice of reason. They are each other’s biggest cheerleaders in life.
Bridesmaid: Jocelyn Ytom | Cousin of the Bride - Los Angeles, Calif.
As April’s oldest cousin (and Christine’s older sister), Joyce has always been April’s mentor and advisor in life. Growing up, April aspired to be like her “Ate” Joyce in the things she did. She eventually followed in Joyce’s footsteps and attended the University of Southern California. April and Joyce have been travel partners and have visited places such as London, Paris, Rome, Spain, and Egypt together. April can always count on Joyce to offer advice and be her sounding board. She appreciates the fact that Joyce has always been there to support her in everything she chooses to do.
Bridesmaid: Aura Aragon | Cousin of the Bride - Lakewood, Calif.
Although Aura resided in the Philippines for most of April’s childhood, you could never tell by the way they got along. When Aura moved to California, April attended her first year of college at Biola University with her. They were lab partners in a biology class where they dissected an earthworm. As April’s first “convert” to the sounds of Rockapella and other a cappella groups, the two cousins have gone on road trips just to see their favorite bands. April has always admired Aura’s God-given musical talents but is most appreciative of her willingness to help her out and be there for her whenever she needs.
Bridesmaid: Norlyn Paalam | Friend of the Bride - Bellflower, Calif.
Norlyn (a.k.a. “Babie”) is not only April’s birthday buddy (born a week apart) but one of April’s closest friends. Although they’ve known each other for a decade, it wasn’t until five years ago that these two muchachas built a special bond. As April’s “sister from another mother,” Babie is one of the few that share the same sense of humor as her. They’ve been able to share life experiences, lend an ear to one another, and keep each other accountable for their actions. April will be one of Babie’s bridesmaids in her May wedding. Despite Norlyn’s UCLA roots, April truly feels blessed to have a friend in Babie.
Bridesmaid: Pauline Neal | Friend of the Bride - Hollywood, Calif.
From the moment they met on April’s first day of work at Warner Music Group, April knew that Pauline was meant to be her friend. The two have enjoyed numerous lunch-break meals, shopping sprees, road trips, and dinner dates. Through these experiences, the two learned they shared so much in common, including their love for classic movies and particular actors. At work, they are each other’s support system and truly lean on each other when times get rough, dubbing each other her “synch sister.” Not only is Pauline one of April’s co-workers, but she has become one of April’s most trusted friends.
Bridesmaid: Joanna Wu | Sister of the Groom - Temple City, Calif.
Jo was in high school when she and April first met and discovered that they both had an affinity for the “I Love Lucy” show. Their first outing together was to the Lucy Convention, which gave them an opportunity to get to know each other. Since then, they have truly become good friends. They have shared many laughs together, including several that have come at the expense of Jeremy himself. Over the years, April has had the opportunity to watch Jo transition into college and ultimately, witness her graduate from USC. April is looking forward to not only having Jo as a friend but as her “sister.”
Bridesmaid: Emmeline Porras | Cousin of the Bride - Arcadia, Calif.
April has had the privilege of watching her cousin Emmeline (a.k.a. “Nini”), blossom into a beautiful young woman. April still remembers when she used to lullaby Nini to sleep and when she helped her learn to walk. When Nini was just a child, April would look out for Nini and the rest of the cousins. But it wasn’t until recently that April found herself forming a more mature relationship with her cousin. April encouraged Nini to join colorguard and in preparation for college, gave her much advice. April is very proud of Emmeline and will continue to encourage her to strive for what God wants her to be.
Bridesmaid: Kimberly Contado | Cousin of the Bride - Pasadena, Calif.
Over the years, April has seen Kimmie develop from a quiet little girl into an outgoing young woman. She was so proud as Kimmie became drum major of her high school band (as April was for her own high school), keeping the family tradition alive and well. Together with April, they became two of the loudest and silliest cousins in the family. Kimmie's enthusiatic personality and boisterous laughter can be heard from afar. No really - it's contagious! April is grateful for the joy Kimmie brings to her life and loves her very much.

Best Man: Nathaniel Wu | Brother of the Groom - Temple City, Calif.
As Jeremy’s brother, Nat has had to endure the unfairness of being younger but has also benefitted from big-brother's way-paving. The two began to develop a much more adult relationship when Jeremy went to college and after much nagging, Nat transferred from UCR to USC and they ended up as roommates during Jer’s senior year. Since college, the two have become the best of friends, each spurring the other on to bigger and better things in life. What started out as two Wu kids playing way too much video games has become a beautiful friendship that Jeremy will cherish forever. Nat really is Jer's best man.
Groomsman: Sean Kao | Friend of the Groom - Irvine, Calif.
As one of Jeremy’s friends since elementary school, the two have been stride-to-stride, side-by-side since the fifth grade. These two are able to spend hours just talking to each other. They realized that fact one night at a Boy Scout camp-out when they walked around a swimming pool talking for hours. Though they enjoyed different activities in high school, the many road trips during college have made them the best of friends once again. Jeremy bore the honor of being one of Sean’s groomsmen at his wedding in October, 2007 and is humbled to have Sean at his side as he marries April.
Groomsman: Stephen Lee | Friend of the Groom - San Leandro, Calif.
Friends since their sophomore year of high school, they talked a lot during driver’s education and eventually, Jeremy was able to convince Steve to join marching band. After summer jobs and their first parent-less car ride together, the two became the best of friends throughout college even though they were in rival marching bands. Steve’s generous and hospitable nature won April over in her first trip up north with Jeremy but little did she know that he pulled a fast one on her as he helped mastermind April’s surprise proposal. Jeremy and April are honored to have Steve at their side as they get married.
Groomsman: James Wong | Friend of the Groom - South Pasadena, Calif.
As Jeremy’s first friend of recollection since coming to Los Angeles, James is about as old as they come. From fifth grade plays to being Mentors to being co-band presidents, these two have shared nearly every experience since 1990. Although they lost touch a little through college, they have regained their balance and have since enjoyed each other’s company on many lunch breaks and food-finding excursions. They are proof that in friendship, nothing is as strong as the bonds of time. As one of the most trusted people in his life, Jeremy is honored to have James by his side at his wedding.
Groomsman: Elson Wong | Friend of the Groom - Glendale, Calif.
As the elder Wong brother, Elson sure acts like the younger one – but that’s perhaps one of his most lovable traits. Even though he comes off aloof sometimes, Elson has been one of Jeremy’s greatest spiritual inspirations throughout the years and has been a solid example of someone who truly surrenders his life to the will of God. They met during Jeremy’s first week in LA at their church and have since spent countless hours doing things as random as lying on the floor of their house for hours. Elson’s unfettered willingness to be himself in all of life's situations has encouraged Jeremy to do the same.
Groomsman: Eric Wong | Friend of the Groom - Pasadena, Calif.
Jeremy connected with Eric earlier even though he was the younger of the Wong brothers but perhaps that was because they seemed to have more obviously commonalities. From coming up with the breakfast club before church on Sunday’s to barbecuing together, food is always a part of their lives. Eric’s get-down-to-business attitude about getting things done has been an inspiration to Jeremy and even though he is much younger, the two get along as if they were only days apart. Having Eric around is like having another little brother and Jeremy couldn’t get married without his family by his side.
Groomsman: Jonathan Lee | Friend of the Groom - Los Angeles, Calif.
As acquaintances through middle school, Jeremy distinctly remembers the day he knew Jon was his friend. At the end of freshman year in high school, as Jeremy prepared to audition for the drum major position in the band, he practiced his routine on the tennis courts. One day, Jon came over from his spot at lunch and wished him good luck. The two also shared many laughs in algebra class and through band, became good friends. Since high school, Jon has been a source of solid friendship for Jeremy, who always looks out for his needs and takes care of his less-technologically savvy buddy.
Groomsman: David Sum | Friend of the Groom - South Pasadena, Calif.
An odd-couple if you ever saw one, these two May birthday buddies have been friends since their days as Mentor Hall Monitors in middle school. David holds the distinct honor of being one of Jeremy’s few good friends from UCLA. Even though that difference pervades their relationship, the two have overcome and maintained strong bonds throughout years of silly antics. From stealing street signs to pies in the face as birthday surprises, there’s not much these two don’t enjoy doing together; although Dave might not look upon his being dragged into marching band too fondly.
