April was born and raised in Cerritos, California. Contrary to only-child stereo-types, April grew up modestly, enjoying the company of her large extended musical family. Not only did she enjoy singing, she also learned to play various musical instruments including, piano, clarinet, mallet percussion, and organ. During her years of school, she became involved with many extracurricular activities including band, drumline, tennis, cheerleading, chorus, student government, as well as various social and cultural clubs. Following high school, April attended Biola University for a year and a half before transferring to the University of Southern California where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry and a minor in Business Administration. Soon after, April was offered to work for Warner Music Group in the Film/TV/Commercial Music Licensing department where she has been happily working for almost 6 years. Additionally, April and her cousins are involved in a singing ministry as the group In Harmony, which has given them the opportunity to sing at various churches in the U.S. as well as Canada. In her spare time, April enjoys keeping up with her long list of favorite tv shows, surfing the net, and working out in the gym.
